Downloads

IEX-Sharp can be downloaded in one large package for the full suite of Microsoft Office programs, or as individual pieces for each program. The recommended download is to download IEX-Sharp for the entire Office suite, however, downloading the IEX-Sharp-Excel alone can be useful if your primary purpose of using IEX-Sharp is to pull in financial data from the IEX Cloud purely into Excel.

Common Errors During Installation

Customized Functionality Not Available Error:

Solution:

  1. Right-click on the origional IEX-Sharp zip folder you downloaded ( or redownload a zip folder), and click on Properties
  2. At the bottom of the General Tab, under the Security section, click the Unblock checkbox if it is unclicked, and then click OK (refer to the below image)
  3. Extract the files as you would in step 2 of the standard installation process, and follow the installation process from there. Note that if you downloaded the individual IEX-Sharp applications seperately, you will need to unblock each of the zip folders for all of the programs

If all steps above are done correctly, you should see the IEX-Sharp tab in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook (but for Outlook, only when you are writing an email or a meeting invite), and should be able to use the =IEX() function in Excel
